Outriders
The game has a character development system. During the game, we receive experience points and gain new levels. Every few promotions, we unlock new abilities, but despite the fact that eight of them have been prepared for the needs of each class, only three can be active at the same time. Nevertheless, on subsequent "levels" we receive so-called class points, which we can spend on special modifications that provide us with additional buffs in the form of bonuses to the hero's statistics or specific skills. We also increase our combat potential by collecting better and better equipment and modifying our weapons and armor elements. Outriders is based on the Unreal Engine 4 technology. Developers have duly used its capabilities, and the effects of using the heroes' skills, detailed enemy models and the surroundings are full of details.

The action of Outriders takes place in the distant future, when the Earth was destroyed, and the only hope for humanity's survival is the distant planet Enoch. A huge spaceship called Flores was sent to the site, on board of which were the title Outriders, i.e. well-trained soldiers to deal with the potential threats lurking on the surface of the new world. Though initially the planet Enoch seemed an exceptionally friendly place, after a while the colonizers received a strange signal; when they tried to reach its source, a powerful Anomaly was released. The cataclysm killed many settlers and wounded others severely, destroying almost all technology taken from Earth. Among the survivors there is a hero whom we assume the role of during the game. In order to keep him alive, the others were forced to subject him to a long hibernation.
Gameplay
Before starting the adventure with Outriders, we choose one of the four character classes. We have at our disposal, among others, a Pyromancer who likes to set fire to everything that comes under his sights, an agile trickster who can manipulate time and a heavy-armed devastator who feels best on the front line. There is nothing else for us to do but to start the actual fun. The authors have prepared a number of locations, among which extensive hubs play the primary role. In the latter, we can talk to settlers and accept quests from them (both pushing the story forward and side quests), as well as learn more about the presented world. The pillar of the game is the implementation of the mission objectives and the fight against hordes of enemies; all kinds of monsters and hostile people stand on our way. The battles are dynamic, and although the game has a cover system implemented, aggressive behavior is often more profitable. They are encouraged by, among others, the system of regenerating health points - while a small part of them can be restored by staying away from enemy fire, the rest can be regained in other ways, determined by our character's profession; for example, a Pyromancer heals when he sets an enemy on fire, and a Devastator heals when he manages to kill an enemy at close range. During the skirmishes, we make use of an extensive arsenal of firearms and a wide range of combat abilities. For example, a trickster can teleport across the battlefield and create "bubbles" that slow opponents, while a pyromancer can create a destructive wall of fire.
