Deathloop
The action of the title was set in an alternative year 1963 on the island of Blackreef, where there was a time anomaly. The story focuses on the fate of two assassins, Colt Vahn and Julianna Blake, who, together with other residents, are stuck in an endless time loop - after dying or after 24 hours, they return to the beginning of the same day. However, while the woman is delighted with this, her opponent (the main character) wants to break free from the anomaly. To escape Blackreef, Colt must eliminate eight people called Visionaries in one day who are responsible for keeping the cycle going. It will not be easy, however, as the targets are elusive and reside in different places, and Julianna will not hesitate to do anything to stop the protagonist.

Deathloop develops the gameplay model known from previous Arkane Studios games, such as Dishonored or Prey. The creators focused on giving players the freedom to deal with the challenges. All problems can be solved in many ways, and each death allows us to increase the hero's combat potential. The slowly acquired knowledge about the behavior and relationships of NPCs will help us eliminate eight main opponents. The title does not impose any specific order of performing tasks, whether main or side quests. The only limitation is the length of each cycle, corresponding to one day in the game world. At the end of the day, Colt's inventory is lost by default, but the game offers the mechanic of collecting and using a resource called residual to permanently save selected powers, weapons or upgrades. In combat, we can use both a variety of weapons and the hero's special powers. Deathloop gives us a large selection of firearms (including submachine guns, shotguns, nail gun), gadgets (including grenades, mines or "hakwave" used to break into cameras, turrets and door security) and supernatural abilities (teleportation , invisibility, connecting minds of opponents, telekinesis and others). So it is up to us to decide how to deal with the next challenges.
Gameplay
Deathloop was conceived as a single player game with an optional online component. The latter appears in the form of Julianna Blake, who attacks the player from time to time. The heroine can be controlled by artificial intelligence, but it is up to the player to allow other people to direct her at any time, like in the raids of the Dark Souls series. This is not a clash between two identical characters. Colt and Julianna use similar powers, but they both have a handful of unique traits as well. In the case of Julianna, players can take the form of any NPC, and all the local residents of Blackreef will stand on their side.
